Bikemonger says... Every so often a damned simple and clever product will appear that actually solves a real problem... so your tubeless tyres fail in the rock garden, and whilst you scrape the speed off, you twat your expensive rim, on your expensive wheel, off a cheap no good rock. Been there, done that, and limped back to the trail head. With these not only will it minimise the impact on the rim, it leaves you with a semi inflated tyre so you can roll back home. And it only adds a few g's to your bike. Mrs Bikemonger will appreciate the end of "rescue me" phone calls.
These are sold individually,

Charlie updates... I have just ridden part of The Arizona Trail, and blimey is rocky. I tore a hole is the sidewall of an EXO tyre and rapidly lost all my air and stans solution. The Huck Norris did an excellent job of protecting the rim as I crashed through the rock garden. We were over a days walk from help... and Huck saved me from what would of been a super dangerous situation. It also aided blasting the tyre back on the rim once we had glued the hole up. I'm fitting them to all my bikes now. "Huck or Die".
