Normal levers don't pull the right length of cable to operate a V brake, but these are designed specifically for this job. The hoods have a nice feel, they sit comfortably in your palm, and the blades feel good too. The picture does not do these levers justice. The end of the blade is nicely sculptured for grip, pretty light, and very good quality. You also get adjustable noodles to take up cable slack... these alone are damned useful
